Episode 128: Do 3 Things Now And 4 Things Later To THRIVE During "The 100 Days Of May"
When I was a kid, I learned the following poem:
30 days has September, April, June and November.
All the rest have 31, except for February, itβs the one
Which only has 28 days clear, And 29 in each Leap Year.
Unfortunately, there is a big fat lie hiding in this poem. May actually has 100 days. Well, at least it feels that way in our private schools with all of the: banquets, ceremonies, dances, concerts, teacher observations, final exams, field trips and Graduation.
It is easy to go into survival mode during βThe 100 Days Of Mayβ, but we are not going to do that! On todayβs episode of The Private School Leader Podcast, I am going to encourage you to Do 3 Things Now And 4 Things Later To THRIVE During "The 100 Days Of May".
I know that you are super busy, so be sure to listen while you are doing something else. I hope that you will get value from this episode as you serve and lead your school community. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to listen to the podcast!
Thanks for making a difference,
Mark Minkus

On today's episode, we're talking about how to thrive during May
And βanother βquestion βfor βyou. βIs βit βjust βme βor βare, βuh, βthe βparents βat βour βschools βgetting βmore βdemanding, βmore βintense, βmore βoften? ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βUm, βI βdon't βknow βabout βyou, βbut βit βcertainly βfeels βthat βway. βAnd βdealing βwith βparents βis βpart βof βthe βjob βas βwe βlead βour βprivate βschools. βBut βit βcan βquickly βlead βto βstress βand βanxiety βand βfeeling βoverwhelmed. βAnd βthat's βwhy βI βcreated βParent βAcademy. βAnd βnow βyou βhave βa βstep βby βstep βframework βthat βwill βhelp βyou βgo βfrom βfeeling βstressed βand βanxious ββ’ ββ’ βto βfeeling βconfident βand βcalm. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βover βthe βlast β33 βyears, βI've βbuilt βsuccessful βrelationships βwith βthousands βof βparents. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βI've βpackaged βall βthat βI've βlearned ββ’ ββ’ βinto βan βonline βcourse. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βI βteach βyou βduring βthe βfirst βfour βteaching βmodules, βall βthe βstrategies, ββ’ ββ’ βand βthen βI βteach βyour βteachers βthe βsame βstrategies. ββ’ ββ’ βBecause βParent βAcademy βalso βcontains βtwo β45 βminute βwebinars ββ’ βthat βare βteacher βPDs βand βit βhas βa βprintable βworkbook βwith βguided βnotes βand βdiscussion βquestions. βAnd βseveral βschools βaround βthe βcountry βhave βalready βused βthis βplug βand βplay βPD βwith βtheir βteachers. βAnd βthe βfeedback βhas βbeen βreally, βreally βgood. βSo βI βwant βyou βto βcheck βthis βout. βYou βcan βgo βto βthe βprivatescchoolader.com βparentacademy βto βlearn βmore. βThat's βthe βprivatescchoolader.Com βparentacademy ββ’ ββ’ βokay, βso βon βtoday's βepisode, βwe're βtalking βabout βhow βto βthrive ββ’ βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay. βAnd βI'm βgoing βto βgive βyou βthree βthings βto βdo βnow βand βfour βthings βto βdo βlater. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso βif βyou're βlistening βin βreal βtime, ββ’ βwe're βnear βthe βend βof βMarch. βAnd βso βwe're βabout βa βmonth βout βfrom βthe β100 βdays βof βMay. βSo βthree βthings βto βdo βnow βand βthen βfour βthings βto βdo βduring βthe βmonth βof βMay. βSo βlet's βget βinto βit. βNumber βone βon βyour βlist βof βthings βto βdo βnow βis βcheck βyour βcalendar. ββ’ ββ’ βNow, βI βknow βthat βthat βsounds βlike βduh, βof βcourse, βcheck βyour βcalendar. βBut βhear βme βout. βI βwant βyou βto βlook βat βyour βcalendar βfor βMay, ββ’ ββ’ βbut βI βalso βwant βyou βto βcompare βthat βto βyour βpersonal βcalendar. βAnd βmany βof βyou βprobably βhave βyour βdentist βappointment βand βdoctor's βappointment βand βthe βkids βorthodontist βappointment βalready βin βyour βschool βcalendar. βBut βif βnot, βyou βneed βto βmerge βthose βbecause βyou βdon't βwant βto βbe βcaught βup βshort βand βget βa βsurprise βwhen βit βcomes βto, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βschool βevents. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βdepending βon βthe βage βof βyour βkids, βyou βknow, βsome βof βthem βare βinvolved βin βsports βor βthe βmusical βor βother βafter βschool βactivities. βAnd βthere's βa βlot βof βrunning βaround βand βso βthere's βa βlot βof βcoordinating. βAnd βthat βbecomes βeven βmore βcomplex βduring βthe βmonth βof βMay. ββ’ βSo βyou βwant βto βmerge βthose βcalendars. βYou βwant βto βtake βa βlook βjust βreally βsitting βdown βand βblocking βout βkey βdates ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand, βyou βknow, βlooking βat, βwell, βwhen βis βthe βboard βmeeting βand βwhen βdo βI βneed βto βprepare βfor βthat? βAnd, βyou βknow, βit's βeasy βto ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βbecome βreally βfocused βon βthe βevents βduring βMay βbecause βthat βtakes βup βa βlot βof βheadspace βand βa βlot βof βplanning. βBut βthere's βtypically βother βthings βthat βare βthe βnormal βrecurring βthings βthat βare βstill βhappening, βlike βa βboard βmeeting βor βlike, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βyou βknow, βgetting βready βfor, ββ’ βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βbe βit βachievement βtests βor βfinals βor, βyou βknow, βother βthings βthat βmaybe βare βnot βevent βoriented. βBut βtake βa βlook βeven βbeyond βthat. βAnd βit's βlike, βokay, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βwhat βare βyour βspecific βresponsibilities βwith βregards βto βthese βevents βand βwhat βare βthe βdeadlines βand's. βHere's βa βbig βthing. βWhen βyou're βlooking βat βMay, βokay, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βwant βyou βto βthink βthrough βthe βlens βof βwhat βcan βI βmove βto βApril? ββ’ ββ’ βNow, βI βknow βwhat βyou're βthinking. βWell, βI βcan't βmove βgraduation, βI βcan't βmove βthe βspring βdance βor βprom. βOkay, βyes, βthere βare βgoing βto βbe βa βlot βof βthings βthat βyou βcan't βmove βto βApril. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βmaybe βthere's βthings βthat βyou βcan't βmove βto βApril βthis βyear, βbut βI βwant βyou βto βstart βthinking βabout ββ’ ββ’ βmoving βthings βout βof βMay. βAnd βso βmaybe βit's βnot βthe βevents, βmaybe βit βis βthat βyou're βalways βgetting βcaught βup. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βUm, ββ’ βyou're βtrying βto βget βcaught βup βon βteacher βobservations. βAnd βit's βin βthe βmonth βof βMay, βand βyou're βlike, βevery βyear βI βtell βmyself βI'm βgoing βto βhave βthem βdone βby βthe βend βof βApril. βAnd βevery βyear βI βdon't. βOkay, ββ’ βum, βthat's βone βway βof βlooking βat βit. βWith βregards βto ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βwhat βare βthe βthings βthat βare βquote βunquote βnegotiable, βwhat βare βthe βthings βthat βcould βbe βmoved ββ’ ββ’ βinto βMay? βAnd βso βif βthere's βanything, ββ’ ββ’ βwhether βit's ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βgetting βyourself βslamming βyourself βin βApril, βso βThat βyou're βnot βgetting βdouble βslammed βin βMay, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βthink βis βpreferable. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso βif βyou βhave βto βjam βa βbunch βof βteacher βobservations βinto βApril βjust βso βthat βyou βdon't βhave βany βleft βto βdo βin βMay, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βknow βthat βit's βgoing βto βbe βworth βit βfor βyou βin βthe βend. βAnd βso βif βit's βgraduation βprep βor βwhatever βit βis, ββ’ ββ’ βsee βwhat βyou βcan βmove ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βout βof βMay βinto βApril. βAnd βsome βof βthat βhas βto βdo βwith βstaffing βdecisions. βYou βknow, βevery βschool βis βon βa βlittle βbit βof βa βdifferent βtimeline βwhen βit βcomes βto βthat. βObviously βif βyou're βinterviewing βto βtry βto βfill βstaff βpositions, βthat's βjust βgoing βto βhappen βwhen βthe βcandidates βare βavailable. βBut βI βwant βyou βto βjust βkind βof βtake βa βfresh βlook βat βyour βMay βcalendar, ββ’ βa βfresh βlook βat βall βof βyour βtasks βthat βyou βdo βand βthink βabout, βokay, βwhich βof βthese βthings, βeven βif βI'm βslam βduring βApril, βwhich βof βthese βthings βcould βI βmove ββ’ ββ’ βinto βApril? βOkay, βthings βwe're βgoing βto βdo βnow, βnumber βtwo βis βto βimprove βcommunication. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βSo βcommunication ββ’ ββ’ βis βsuper βimportant βin βour βprivate βschools. ββ’ ββ’ βBut βat βbusy βtimes βof βthe βyear βlike βthe βmonth βof βMay, ββ’ ββ’ βcommunication βis βeven βmore βimportant. βBut βsometimes βthat's βthe βthing βthat βgets βneglected ββ’ ββ’ βand βthat's βsuper, βsuper βproblematic. βUm, βand βthink βabout βit βthis βway. βThere's βmore βevents βthat βparents βare βinvited βto. βSometimes βthere's βmore βevents βduring βthe βday. βI βknow βsome βof βthe βthings βthat βI βwas βmentioning βbefore βare βmore βmiddle βschool βand βupper βschool βoriented. βBut ββ’ ββ’ βyou βknow, βwhether βit's βthe βthird βgrade βstate βfair βor βthe βfirst βgrade βbiographies βor βthe, βyou βknow, βin βInventors, βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βInnovators, βm βMuseum, βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthat βthe βyounger βstudents βare βdoing, βthese βare βthings βthat βparents βwill βcome βto. βAnd βsome βof βthem βtake βplace βduring βthe βday, βespecially βwith βthe βyounger βstudents, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βa βmoving βup βceremony, βyou βknow, βthese βkinds βof βthings. βAnd βso βparents βwho βwork βoutside βthe βhome, βor βfor βthat βmatter βparents βwho βum, ββ’ βare βworking βremotely βor βum, βthe βworking βas βa βstay βat βhome βmom, ββ’ βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthey βneed βtime βand βum, βthey βneed βadvance βnotice. βAnd βit βcan't βfeel βlike βit's βkind βof βlast βminute. βAnd βif βwe βare βvery βproactive βwith βthe βcommunications, ββ’ βwe βcan βum, βmake βsure βthat βthey βhave βplenty βof βtime βand βthat βwe're βshowing βlots βof βrespect βfor βour βfamilies. ββ’ ββ’ βUm, βI'll βgive βyou βa βquick βexample. βUm, βI βwas βalways βin βcharge βof βthe βend βof βyear, β6th βgrade βfield βtrip βand βwe βwent βto βum, βuh, βit βwas βlike βan βoutdoor βenvironmental βeducation βtype βtrip βwith βum, βyou βknow, ββ’ βthe βother βthings βthrown βin βthere. βKayaking, βarchery, βyou βknow, ββ’ ββ’ βrock βwall βclimbing, βall βthat βstuff. βOkay. βI βwas βin βcharge βof βthat βtrip. βAnd βso ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthe βpacking βlist, βokay, βfor βthat βtrip, βyou βwouldn't βthink ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βnecessarily ββ’ ββ’ βthat βthat βneeded βto βget βout βas βearly βas βmaybe βwhat βthe βparents βare βasking βfor βit. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βBut βwhat βI βlearned βover βthe βyears βis βthat βit's βbest βto βget βthat βout βas βearly βas βI βcould. ββ’ ββ’ βBecause ββ’ ββ’ βsometimes βparents βjust βtheir βlives βare βso βbusy ββ’ ββ’ βand βyou βknow, βsometimes, βlet's βface βit, βsome βof βthe βstuff, βit's βthat βthey're βchoosing βto βbe, βuh, βover βscheduled βbecause βtheir βkids βare βin βso βmany βactivities. ββ’ βBut βwe βdon't βknow βtheir βstory. βYou βknow, βthey've βgot βaging βparents, βthey've βgot βdoctor's βappointments βthat βthey've βgot βto βgo βto. ββ’ βUm, βthey've βgot βall βkinds βof βstuff βthat's βgoing βon. βMaybe βit's βa βsingle βparent βhome, βyou βknow. βSo βwe βjust βwant βto βgive βthem βas βmuch βnotice βas βpossible. βYou βknow, βsomething βlike βthe βsixth βgrade βyear βend, βum, ββ’ ββ’ βfield βtrip, ββ’ βum, ββ’ βovernight βtrip βwith βthe βpacking βlist. βSo βthat's βjust βone βexample. βUm, βbut βnow's βthe βtime, βyou βknow, βlate βMarch, βearly βApril βis βthe βtime βto βmake βsure βthat βour βcommunications βare βlocked βdown, βthat βthey're βsolid. ββ’
To thrive during the 100 days of May, we need to improve communication
Um, βand βone βway βwe βcan βstart βis βjust βby βclarifying βroles. βYou βknow, βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βcan't βremember βexactly βwho βum, βsaid βthis βquote βright βnow. βUm, βbut βthe βquote βis βthat βthe βbiggest βillusion βwith βcommunication, βthe βbiggest βproblem βwith βcommunication βis βthe βillusion βthat βit βhas βoccurred. βAnd βso βwe βoften βthink βthat, βum, ββ’ ββ’ βyou βwe βsaid βit βand βso βthat βmeans βwe βcommunicated. βBut βhow βmany βtimes βcan βyou βthink βback βto βwhen βit βwas βlike βpointing βfingers βor βpeople βwere βsaying, βwell βI βthought βyou βknow, βand βthis βand βthat. βAnd βso βthat's βtrue βabout βcommunication βand βit's βalso βtrue βabout βwho's βin βcharge βof βthe βdifferent βroles βto βget βready βfor βthese βevents. βSo βspecifically, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βthe βuh, βtask βnumber βtwo βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βnow ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βto βthrive βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay βis βto βimprove βcommunication. βAnd βthen βtask βnumber βthree βis βthat βwe're βgoing βto βuse βchat_pt ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βso βlet βme βexplain βhow βwe βcan βuse βchat βGPT βto βhelp βus βthrive βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay. ββ’ ββ’ βSo βyou βopen βup βchat βGPT βand βyou βjust βfully βdescribe βthe βevent βin βthe βbox ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand βyou βjust βwrite βeverything βin βthere βthat βyou βpossibly βcan. βSo βfor βexample, βlet's βsay βmy βschool, βuh, βmy βmost βrecent βschool βwent βup βto βeighth βgrade βand βeighth βgrade βgraduation βis βwhat βI'm βdescribing. βSo βI'm βdescribing βeighth βgrade βgraduation βin βthe βgym, βthis βmany βstudents, βum, ββ’ βprobably βabout βthis βmany βguests. ββ’ ββ’ βUm, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthere's βmusic, βthere's βspeeches, βthere's ββ’ ββ’ βvideo, βu βum, βthere's, βyou βknow, βneeds βto βbe βphotos βof βeach βgraduate βwhen βthey βget βtheir βdiploma. βGroup βphoto, βlike βrefreshments βin βthe βcafeteria. ββ’ βUm, βyou βknow, βjust βeverything βthat βyou βcan βthink βof, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βyou βwrite βit βinto βChat βGPT, βjust βtype βit βall βin βthere. βOkay. βAnd βthen βyou βask βGPT βto βcreate βa βchecklist βof βall βnecessary βtasks βand βitems ββ’ βfor βthat βevent. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βI βguarantee βyou βthat βthere βare βgoing βto βbe βthings βthat βpop βup βthere βthat βyou βdidn't βthink βof βor βthat βyou βforgot βor βthat βevery βyear βis βlike, βoh, βman, βwe βforgot βabout βthis βor βthat. βAnd βso βfor βyour βevents. βAnd βthis βdoesn't βhave βto βbe βyou βas βthe βschool βleader ββ’ ββ’ βthat's βdoing βthis, βthis. βYou βknow, βI βknow βthat βsome βof βyou βhave βa βsmall βteam βor βno βteam, βbut βif βyou βhave βsomeone βworking βin βthe βoffice, βthis βwould βbe βa βgood βtask βfor βthem. βAnd βthen βthey βcan βcopy βand βpaste βthat βand βdump βit βinto βa βGoogle βDoc, βname βit βand βthen βshare βit, βand βthen βyou βcan βedit βit βa βlittle βbit. βBut βI'm βtelling βyou, βthis βcan βbe, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βa βwin βin βa βfew βdifferent βways. βOne βis βhelping βyou βto βnot βforget βthings, ββ’ βbut βthe βother βis, βis βthat βyou're βdocumenting βrecurring βevents. βAnd βlet's βface βit, βwe βhave βturnover ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βin βour βschools βand βwe βhave βturnover βas βto βwho's βin βcharge βof βthese βdifferent βevents. βAnd βisn't βit βfrustrating βwhen βyou. βThere's βsomeone βnew βand βwe βwant βthem βto βbe βin βcharge βof ββ’ ββ’ βXYZ βevent, ββ’ ββ’ βbut βwe βdon't βhave βsomething βto βhand βthem. βSo βdiagrams, βchecklists, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βall βthe βthings, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βwe βcan βget βan βassist βfrom βChat βGPT βon ββ’ βthese βissues. βSo βto βjust βreview βthe βthree βthings βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βnow βto βthrive βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay, βnumber βone, βcheck βyour βcalendar. βNumber βtwo, βimprove βcommunication. βAnd βnumber βthree, βuse βchat βGPT. ββ’ ββ’
Trust and delegate during the 100 days of May to thrive as school leaders
And βnow βwe're βgoing βto βmove βon βto βthe βfour βthings βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βlater. βSo βthese βare βfour βthings βthat βyou're βgoing βto βdo βin, βduring βthe βmonth βof βMay. βOkay? βSo βnumber βone βis βtrust βand βdelegate. ββ’ ββ’ βSo ββ’ ββ’ βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay, βas βschool βleaders, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βsometimes βyou βfeel βlike βyou're βdoing βeverything, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand βsometimes βit's βbecause βyou βare βdoing βeverything. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βuh, βall βof βthe βpeople βthat βare, βall βof βthe βaudience βmembers βthat βare βlistening βto βthis βepisode, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βeach βof βus βhave βa βdifferent ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βdegree βof βeffectiveness βwith βdelegation. βSome βof βus βare βreally βgood βat βit βand βsome βof βus βare βreally βterrible βat βit. βAnd βso βwe βjust βhave βto βlean βinto ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βdelegation βand βtrust. βAnd βyou're βlike, βyeah, βwell, βI'm βa βsmall βteam βand βI βdon't βreally βtrust βmy βpeople βto βdo βthis. βAnd βso βthen βwhat βthat βleads βto βis βyou βmicromanaging βit. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βI βthink βthat βyour βteam βis βprobably βmore βcapable βthan βwhat βyou βthink. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βif βyou're βreally βclear βon βI βneed βyou βto βdo βthis βand βmake βsure βthat βyou're βtelling βand βnot βasking. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βMake βsure βthey βunderstand βthat βyou're βtelling βand βnot βasking. βBut βthen βfollow βup βwith βan βemail βof βthe βverbal βconversation. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthis βis βa βgreat βplace βwhere βthen βthat βGoogle βDoc βwith βthe βchecklist βthat βChat βGPT βgave βus βand βassist βthe βdiagram βof βwhat βthe βgym βis βsupposed βto βlook βlike, βyou βknow, βthat's βwhere βthese βthings βcome βin βhandy βbecause βyou βcan βshare βthat βwith βthe βperson βthat βyou're βdelegating βit βto βand βthen βyou're βgoing βto βcheck βin βand βmake βsure βthat βthis βand βthat βare βhandled. βBut βif βyou βare βtired βof βdoing βeverything, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthen βit βdoes βtake βsome βeffort, βit βtakes βsome βtime, βit βtakes βa βlittle βbit βof βcourage, βit βtakes βsome βtrust. ββ’ ββ’ βBut βone βof βthe βways βto βthrive βduring βthe β100 βdays βof βMay βis βto βtrust βand βthen βdelegate. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βwe're βgoing βto βget βan βassist βby βusing βour βGoogle βDocs βthat βwere βchecklists βthat βwere βhelped βby βCheatGPT βto βcreate βso βthat βthen βthese βcan βbe βthings βthat βare βreferred βto βand βit's βnot βall βverbal. βI βjust βthink βthat's βpart βof βour βproblem βin βprivate βschools βis βwe're βin βsuch βa βhurry βthat βwe βhave βthese βconversations βor βwe βsay βstuff βat βmeetings βand βthen βstuff βdoesn't βhappen βand βthen βeveryone's βmad βand βeveryone's βpointing βfingers. βSo βwe βjust βhave βto βget βsome βstuff βdown βonto βGoogle βDocs βin βaddition βto βthose βverbal βconversations. ββ’ ββ’
One thing we need to do in May is become super focused on self care
Okay. ββ’ ββ’ βThe βsecond βthing βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βnow βto βthrive βduring βthe βhundred βdays βof βMay ββ’ βor βuh, βexcuse βme, βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βin βMay βis βthat βwe βare βgoing βto βbecome βsuper βfocused βon βself βcare. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βSo βI'm βtalking βabout βdrinking βenough βwater ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand ββ’ βgetting βenough βsleep βand βthe βkind βof βfood βthat βyou're βeating. βAnd βyou βknow βMay βlends βitself βto βa βlot βof βfast βfood βand βa βlot βof βdrive βthrs, βyou βknow, βafter βevents, ββ’ ββ’ βum, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βmoving βyour βbody βa βlittle βbit, βgetting βsome βfresh βair. βAnd βso βI βget βit, βlike βthis βtime βof βyear βisn't βthe βtime βof βyear βfor βyou βto ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βyou βknow, βbe βstarting βan βexercise βprogram. βBut βwhat βI'm βtalking βabout βis, βyou βknow, βmaybe βbeing βmore βintentional βabout βgetting βoutside βduring βrecess. βYou βknow, βfor βthat β10 βminutes ββ’ βcan βmake βa βhuge βdifference ββ’ βwith βum, βsome βfresh βair, βsome βsunshine, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βinteracting βwith βsome βkids, ββ’ ββ’ βum, βseeing βsome βkids βwith βum, βsmiling βfaces, βhaving βSome βfun, βbecause βin βMay βwe βbecome βsuper βfocused ββ’ βon βthe βoutcomes. βWas βthis βevent βa βsuccess? βWere βthere βenough βgarbage βcans? βWas βthere βenough βtoilet βpaper βin βthe βbathrooms? βWas βthere, βwere βthere βenough, βum, βrefreshments? βAnd βall βof βthat βis βimportant. ββ’ βBut βwe βbecome βsuper βevents βand βoutcomes, ββ’ ββ’ βuh, βoriented βin βMay. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βoften βwhat βwe βforget βabout βis βwhy βwe're βdoing βthis βin βthe βfirst βplace. βIt's βbecause βof βthe βkids. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso βwe βneed βto βmake βsure βthat βwe're βinteracting βwith βkids. βAnd βI've βsaid βbefore, βI βdid βan βepisode βon βit. βI βcan βlink βit βin βthe βshow βnotes@the βprivatescchooler.com βepisode β128. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI've βsaid βit βbefore, βthere's βjoy βon βyour βcampus. βIt's βjust βnot βin βyour βoffice. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βthink βit's, βum, βsuper βimportant βduring βMay βfor βyou βto βbe βeven βmore βintentional, ββ’ ββ’ βeven βif βit's βjust βfor βfive βminutes βa βday βor β10 βminutes βtwice βa βweek βto βgo βto βthe βjoy, βyou βknow, βpop βinto βclass, βa βclassroom, βum, βread βa βstory βto βkindergarten. βAnd βI βcan βhear βwhat βyou're βsaying, βwhat βyou're βthinking. βYou're βlike, βyeah, βright. βThat βis βthe βtime βof βyear βwhere βI βhave βthe βleast βamount βof βtime βto βdo βthat βthing. βI βknow, βbut βit's βalso βthe βtime βof βyear βwhen βyou βneed βto βdo βthat βthe βmost. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso βif βyou βdo βthe βmath βon, βyou βknow, βhow βlong βfive βminutes βis βout βof βyour β168 βhours βof βyour βweek, ββ’ βit's βan βincredibly βsmall βnumber, βbut βit βcan βhave βa βdisproportionately βlarge βpositive βimpact βon βyour βweek. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthen βthe βlast βthing βis, βis βthat βweeknights βand βweekends βbecome βespecially βimportant βduring βthe βmonth βof βMay. ββ’ βAnd βI βknow βthat βsometimes βyour βweeknights βand βweekends βare βtaken βup βwith βsome βof βthese βactivities, ββ’ ββ’ βwith βsome βof βthese βbanquets βor βconcerts βor βgraduations, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βand βmaybe βdepending βon βthe βage βof βyour βkids, βum, βeither βgoing βto βgrad βparties βor βall βthese βother βthings, βI βget βthat. βBut βto βjust βbe βas βprotective βas βof βyour βweeknights βand βweekends βas βpossible βduring βMay, βbecause βyou've βheard βit βbefore, βyou βcan't βpour βfrom βan βempty βcup. ββ’ βAnd βif βyou βstart βwith βa βfull βcup βon βMay β1st βand βyou βdon't βdo βanything βto βput βany βwater βback βin βthat βcup βover βthe βcourse βof βthe β31 βdays βof βMay βor βthe β100 βdays βof βMay, ββ’ ββ’ βyour βthing'going βto βbe βempty βalong βabout βday βseven βor βnine. βOkay, βso βwe βneed βto βdo βsome βthings βcombining βthis, βyou βknow, βfocus βon βself βcare βwith βbeing βintentional βabout βgoing βto βthe βjoy, βtrying βto βget βsome βsleep, βum, βand βtrying βto βtake βcare βof βOurselves βand ββ’ ββ’ βjust βreally βemphasizing βthat βmore βthan βat βreally βany βother βpoint βin βthe βyear. βThe βonly βother βtime βI βcould βequate βit βto βis βthat βweek βof βteacher βand βservice βand βthe βfirst βweek βof βschool. βUm, βum, βit'it's. βThat βstressful βand βthat βexhausting. βSo βwe βneed βto βtake βcare βof βourselves. βThe βthird βthing βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo βin βMay βis βwe're βgoing βto βcelebrate. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βSo βthis βis βsomething βthat βI βactually βlearned βfrom βmy βwife βbecause βI βwould βcome βhome βfrom βan βevent βand βshe βwould βsay, βwell, βhow βdid βit βgo? βAnd βI'd βbe βlike, βwell, βit βwent βreally βwell. βAnd βshe's βlike, βwell, βthat's βworth βcelebrating. βAnd βI'd βbe βlike, βwhat βdo βyou βmean? βAnd βmy βwife βwould βsay, βwell, ββ’ ββ’ βyou βput βas βmuch βwork βinto βthe βthing βif βit's, βuh, βa βsuccess βas βyou βdo βif βthe βthing βis βa βcomplete βfailure. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd ββ’ ββ’ βshe's βright. βAnd, ββ’ βum, βwe βneed βto βpause ββ’ βand βcelebrate βand βenjoy βthese βevents βbecause βwe βare βso ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βaction. ββ’ ββ’ βWe βhave βa βbias βtowards βaction βas βschool βleaders. βAnd βit's βall βabout, βgo, βgo, βgo. βAnd βit's βall βabout βwhat's βnext. βOkay, βwhat's βnext? βBoom. βCheck βthat βoff. βSports βbanquet. βBoom. βWhat's βnext? βOkay, βmiddle βschool βawards βassembly. βOkay, βboom. βWhat's βnext? βUm, βum, βdance. βOkay, βwhat's βnext? ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βI βget βthat, βand βthat's βhow βwe βhave βto βbe βto βkind βof βget βthrough. ββ’ ββ’ βBut ββ’ ββ’ βI βthink ββ’ ββ’ βthe βmindset βof βnext, βnext, βnext βplus βfatigue ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βequals ββ’ ββ’ βnot βdisplaying βgratitude βand βnot βcelebrating βthe βwins. βAnd βI'm βgoing βto βsay βthat βagain. βI βthink βthe βmindset βof βnext, βnext, βnext βplus βfatigue βequals βnot βdisplaying βgratitude βand βnot βcelebrating βthe βwins. βAnd βso βthe βdisplaying βgratitude βpart βis βthere's βa βlot βof βpeople βthat βmake βthese βthings βhappen. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βso βwhether βit's βin βthe βstaff βmemo βthe βnext βmorning, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βif βit's βon βmorning βannouncements, ββ’ ββ’ βif βit's βin βthe βall βschool βreligious βservice βweekly βor βdaily, βthe βchapel βmass βto βFila, βif βit's βan βall βschool βassembly ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand βyou're βjust, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βin βwriting βin βthe βstaff βmemo βor βverbally βin βthose βother βspaces, ββ’ βjust βsaying βthank βyou βso βmuch βfor ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βeverybody βthat βhelped βout βwith βthe βdance βlast βnight βor βeveryone βthat βhelped βout βwith, βum, ββ’ βyou βknow, βthe βsports βbanquet βlast βnight βor βwhatever βthe βcase βmight βbe, βI βthink βthe βmorning βafter ββ’ βthank βyou βemail βor βat βleast βthe βmorning βafter βthank βyou βparagraph βat βthe βvery βtop βof βthe βdaily βmemo, βif βyou βhave βa βdaily βmemo βis βsuper βimportant ββ’ ββ’ βbecause βthose βpeople βare βtired βtoo. βOkay, βwe're βtired, βbut βthey're βtired βtoo. βAnd βthey βworked βhard βand βthey βgot βhome βlate βas βwell, βand βthey βon βtheir βfeet βall βday. βAnd βa βlittle βgoes βa βlong βway βwhen βwe βexpress βgratitude. βBut βwhen βwe βdon't βexpress βgratitude, βI βfeel βlike βit βfeels βdisproportionately βcrappy βto βour βpeople, βto βour βteachers βand βour βteam. βAnd βso βyou're βlike, βwell, βhow βam βI βgoing βto βdo βthat? βBecause βI βhave βgood βintentions βbut βI βdon't βfollow βthrough βand βblah, βblah, βblah. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βUm, βthat's βwhere βschedule βsend βis βyour βbest βfriend. ββ’ ββ’ βI βmean, βyou βcan βwrite βa βnice βemail βon βa βTuesday βat β1pm ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthat's βgoing βto βschedule βsend βon βFriday βmorning βat β8am βwhen βthe βmiddle βschool βdances βon βthe βThursday βnight. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βit's βlike, βoh, βwell, βthat's βdisingenuous. βIs βit? ββ’ βIs βit βwhat? βWhat's βbetter? βNot βsending βthe βemail. βOkay, βso βI'm βjust βsaying βthat βwe βneed βto βuse βour βbrains ββ’ ββ’ βand βif βwe're βnot βgoing βto βhave βthe, βum, ββ’ ββ’ βenergy βto βsend βthat, βto βwrite βthat βemail βat β11 βo'clock βon βthe βThursday βnight βwhen βwe βget βhome βfrom βthe βevent, βthen βwe βneed βto βbe βproactive, βbut βwe βneed βto βbe βthanking βour βpeople. βAnd βthen βwe βalso βneed βto βbe βcelebrating βand βtrying βto βbe βpresent βand βenjoying βthe βmoment. βLike βit's ββ’ ββ’ βwhen βthese βkids βare βup βthere ββ’ ββ’ βand βthey're βdoing βtheir βthing. βIt's βthe βband βconcert βor βit's βthe βspring βmusical, βor βit's βthe βart βshow βand βthey're βso βproud βof βthe βthing βthat βthey βcreated. βOr βit's βgraduation βand βit's βthe βkid βthat βcried βevery βsingle βday βin βfourth βgrade βand βnow βit's βeighth βgrade βand βthey're βup βthere βgraduating βand βgetting βsome βaward. βI βmean, βthat's βwhy βwe βdo βwhat βwe βdo βis βthose βtransformations βthat βwe βhelp, ββ’ βuh, βwork βwith βour βteachers βto βmake βhappen βand βcreate βa βculture βwhere ββ’ ββ’ βthose βkids βcan βblossom, βwe βgot βto βbe, βtry βand βbe βpresent βin βthe βmoment. βAnd βI βwas βbad βat βthat. βAnd βearlier βin βmy βcareer βI βhad βmy βhead βon βa βswivel βand βI'm βlooking βfor βall βthe βstuff, βwhether βit's βsecurity βor βmaintenance βor βthe βsound βsystem βor βwhatever βit βis. βI βget βthat. βAnd βyou're βstill βnot βgoing βto βbe βable βto βturn βoff βthat βpart βof βyour βbrain. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βBut βI βthink βit's βreally βimportant ββ’ βthat βwe βpause ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand βtry βto βbe βpresent βand βenjoy βthe βmoment. βBecause βMay βis βoften βa βmonth βof βcelebrations. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βif βwe're βnot βcelebrating βthose βkids ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βand βall βit βis βis βthat βwe're βrunning βan βevent, ββ’ ββ’ βI βthink βthat βthat's βa βrecipe βfor βyou βfeeling βunfulfilled βat βwork. ββ’ βAnd βso βsince βMay βhasn't βhappened βyet, βhopefully, βif βyou're βlistening βto βthis βin ββ’ βlate βMarch βor βand βApril, βthere's βstill βtime βfor βus βto βkind βof βchange βour βintentionality βand βmindset βabout βthat. ββ’ ββ’
One of the ways to improve May is to improve the events
And βthen βthat βbrings βus βto βthe βfourth βand βfinal βthing βthat βwe're βgoing βto βdo ββ’ ββ’ βin βMay. βAnd βthat βis βthat βyou're βgoing βtoa βstart βyour βbetter βMay βnext βyear βGoogle βDoc. βOkay, βso βlet βme βhit βyou βwith βthat βagain. ββ’ βStart βyour βquote, βbetter βMay βnext βyear, βend βquote, βGoogle βDoc. βYou're βliterally βgonna βstart βa βGoogle βDoc βthat's βtitled βBetter βMay βnext βyear. ββ’ ββ’ βBecause βevery βyear ββ’ ββ’ βMay βis βso βbusy ββ’ ββ’ βthat βwhile βyou're βin βthe βmoment βyou're βlike, βoh βman, βit βwas βreally βhard βto βhear βthe βgraduation βspeaker. βWe βneed βto βupdate βthat βsound βsystem βor βyou βknow, βthe βplace βthat βmakes βthe βtrophies βfor βthe βsports βbanquet. βThey βmisspelled βlike βthree βkids βnames βagain. βUh, βthis βyear. ββ’ ββ’ βOkay, βwell, βin βthe βmoment βyou're βfrustrated, βbut βwhere βdo βyou βcapture βthat βso βthat βyou're βnot βsitting βthere βa βyear βfrom βnow βbeing βannoyed βthat βyou βcan't βhear βthe βgraduation βspeaker ββ’ βor βtalking βto βthe βparent βthat's βfrustrated βbecause βtheir βkid's βname βis βmisspelled βagain βon βthe βtrophy? ββ’ βBecause βyou βneed βto βchange ββ’ ββ’ βthe βplace, βyou βneed βto βchange βthe βbusiness βthat βyou're, βum, ββ’ βyou βknow, βsupporting βthat's βmaking βthe βtrophies βfor βyour βsports βbanquet. βWhere βare βyou βgoing βto βcapture βthat? ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βWell, βif βyou βhave βa βbetter βMay βnext βyear βGoogle βDoc, ββ’ βyou βjust βmake βa βnote, βyou βknow, βsound βsystem βfor βgraduation βor βtrophies βfor βsports βbanquet, βmisspelled βnames βor βwhatever. βAnd βso βthat's βthe βfirst βstep βis βyou're βcreating βthe βGoogle βDoc, βyou're βputting βstuff βin βthere. βYou're βgoing βto βturn βyour βfrustration βin βthe βpresent βinto βaction βin βthe βfuture. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βLet βm βme βsay βthat βagain. βYou're βturning βyour βfrustration βin βthe βpresent βin βMay ββ’ ββ’ βinto βaction βin βthe βfuture. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βThat's βreally βhard βbecause βyou're βjust βtrying βto βget βthrough βthe β100 βdays βof βMay. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βBut βwhat βI βwant βfor βyou ββ’ ββ’ βis βfor βeach βMay βto βget βa βlittle βeasier, βa βlittle βmore βstreamlined, βa βlittle βmore βorganized, βa βlittle βless βstressful. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βone βof βthe βways βto βdo βthat βis βto βimprove βthe βevents. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βone βof βthe βways βto βimprove βthe βevents βis βto βhave βthat βGoogle βDoc. βAnd ββ’ βalso βwe βneed βto βreview βor βreflect βor βget βfeedback βabout βthese βevents. βAnd βyou're βlike, βyeah, βokay, βthat's, βyou βknow, βblah, βblah, βblah, βthat's βfrustrating βand βI βdon't βhave βthe βtime βfor βthat. βOkay, βI βget βit. βBut βin βApril βyou βcould βset βit βup. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βThink βabout βthis. ββ’ ββ’ βIn βApril βyou βcould βcreate βa βGoogle βform βthat βis βlike βjust βthe βthree βquestions. βWhat, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βwhat βwas βthe βbest βpart βof βthis βevent. βWhat βwent βwell, βum, βwhat βdidn't βgo βwell βand βum, βwhat βwould βyour, βyour βsuggestions βfor βchanging βit βin βthe βfuture? βYou βcould βuse βthe βsame βGoogle βForm βM βfor βevery βevent βin βMay. βOkay. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthen βyou βcould βschedule βsend βto ββ’ ββ’ βa βdivision, βthe βintermediate βschool βor βall βthe βlower βschool, βif βit's βlower βschool βchoral βconcert, βfor βexample. ββ’ βUm, βyou βcould βschedule βsend βfor βthe βmorning βafter ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βall βof βthose ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βemails βwith βa βlink βto βthat βGoogle βForm. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthen βall βof βthat βstuff βjust βpopulates βthe βGoogle βSheet. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βyou βdon't βeven βhave βto βlook βat βit βduring βMay. βBut βthen βyou βcould βgo βback βto βit βin βthe βsummertime βor βin βthe βfall βwhen βyou're βgoing βto βpull βout βyour βbetter βMay βnext βyear βGoogle βDoc. ββ’ ββ’ βOkay. βIt's βa βdumping βground βfor βall βthe βfeedback, βthe βGoogle βSheet. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βif βyou βdon't βknow βhow βto βmake βa βGoogle βform βor βyou βdon't βknow βhow βto βmake βa βGoogle βform, βtalk βto βa βGoogle βSheet. βI βdidn't βused βto βknow βhow βto βdo βthat βeither. βI βwatched βa βcouple βof βYouTube βvideos βand βI βfigured βit βout. βIt's βpretty βsimple. ββ’ βAnd βso βjust βto βreview βthat βone βreal βquick, ββ’ ββ’ βyou're βgonna βmake, βyou're βgoing βto βstart βa βbetter βMay βnext βyear βGoogle βDoc. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βwhen βyou βthink βof βstuff βthat βis βfrustrating βin βthe βpresent, ββ’ ββ’ βyou're βgoing βto βthrow βit βin βthere βso βthat βyou βcan βtake βaction βon βit βin βthe βfuture. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthen ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βthe βadvanced βstep, βquote, βunquote βadvanced, βis βyou βwant βto βget βfeedback βfrom βthe βpeople ββ’ ββ’ βinvolved βwith βthe βevent. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βyou βcould βproactively ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βcreate βup, βuh, βone βGoogle βform ββ’ ββ’ βthat βyou βknow. βAnd βthe βfirst βquestion βon βthe βGoogle βform βcould βbe βname βof βevent. ββ’ ββ’ βAnd βthen βlike βI βsaid, βthree βquestions. βWhat βwent βwell? βWhat βdidn't βgo βwell? βWhat βare βyour βsuggestions βfor βimproving βthis βevent ββ’ ββ’ βand βthat βGoogle βform βthat, βuh, βthose βfour βquestions, βyou're βgetting βall βthat βfeedback. ββ’ ββ’ βIs βeveryone βgoing βto βfill βit βout? βNo. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βUm, βdo βyou βhave βtime βto βread βall βthat βstuff βin βMay? βNo. ββ’ ββ’ βBut βmaybe βthe βsecond βweek βof βOctober βyou βdo. ββ’ βAnd βthis βis βthe βway βthat βwe're βgoing βto βhave βeach βyear βm ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βget βbetter ββ’ ββ’ βand βthe βevents βget βbetter βand βthe βevents βget βless βstressful βand βmore βorganized ββ’ βis βwe're βnot βgoing βto βjust βrun βit βback βyear βafter βyear βexactly βthe βsame βway. βWe're βgoing βto βmake βit βbetter βand βthen βyou're βgoing βto βrevisit βthat βin βthe βsummer βor βin βthe βfall. βBut βthe βlast βpiece βof βthat βis βthat βyou're βgoing βto βput βit βin βyour βcalendar. βSo βmaybe βon βOctober ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ β11th βit βsays, ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βum, βbetter ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βMay βnext βyear βGoogle βDoc βfor β30 βminutes βon βa βTuesday βmorning βor βsomething βlike βthat. βSo βcalendar βit βso βthat βit βactually βhappens ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βonce βthe βschool βyear βis βs βunderway βand βthings βhave βsettled βdown βa βlittle βbit.
Three things to do now to thrive during the hundred days of May
All βright, βlet's βwrap βit βup. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βThree βthings βto βdo βnow ββ’ ββ’ βto βthrive βduring βthe βhundred βdays βof βMay. ββ’ βUh, βone βcheck βyour βcalendar. βTwo, βimprove βcommunication βand βthree, βuse βchat, βGPT ββ’ ββ’ βand βfour βthings βto βdo βlater βduring βthe βmonth βof βMay. βNumber βone, βtrust βand βdelegate βto βbecome βsuper βfocused βon βself βcare. βThree, βcelebrate βand βshow βgratitude. βNumber βfour, ββ’ βstart βyour βbetter βMay βnext βyear. βGoogle βDoc ββ’ ββ’ βand βyour βcall βto βaction βis βto βdo βat βleast βone βof βthe βdo βnow βtasks. ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βDo βit βnow βwithin βthe βnext βcouple βweeks βand βthen βput βa βcalendar βreminder βfor βlate βApril βto βlisten βto βthis βepisode βagain. βBecause βlet's βface βit, βthe βfour βthings βthat βyou're βgoing βto βdo βduring βMay, βwhen βMay βrolls βaround, βyou're βnot βgoing βto βremember. βSo βput βa βcalendar βinvitation, βyou βcan βinsert βa βlink, βcopy, βpaste. βLet's βsay βyou βlisten βto βthis βon βApple βPodcast. βYou βcould βput βa βlink βto βthis βepisode βright βthere βin βthe βcalendar βinvitation βto βyourself βso βthat βyou βremember βto βlisten βto βit βand βthen βdo βthe βthings βthat βwe βjust βtalked βabout βbecause βthese βare βmaking βsense βto βyou. βI βknow βthey βare βand βyou βwant βto βdo βthem, βbut βyou're βgoing βto βforget βthem. βSo βyou βmight βneed βto βrevisit βthis. βAnd βeven βif βthat βcalendar βreminder βgets βyou βjust βgoing βto βthe βshow βNotes βto βtake βa βlook, βthat's βfine. βYou βdon't βnecessarily βhave βto βlisten βto βthe βwhole βthing βagain.

So βI βjust βwant βto βask βyou βa βquick βquestion βas βwe βwrap βthings βup. βDo βyou βever βfeel ββ’ ββ’ βlike βyou βhave βnothing βleft βat βthe βend βof βthe βday βfor βyour βfamily βand βthen βmaybe βfeel βa βlittle βguilty βabout βthat? ββ’ ββ’ βWell, βthat's βbecause βour βjobs βare βphysically βexhausting βand βemotionally βdraining ββ’ βand βI βwant βto βhelp βyou βwith βthat. βAnd βI've βcreated βa βnew βresource βthat βI βmentioned βat βthe βtop βof βthe βepisode βthat βI'm βsuper βexcited βabout βand βit's βa βfree β45 βminute βmasterclass βand βit's βcalled βWinning βat βSchool βWithout βLosing βat βHome. βAnd βI βwant βto βget βthis βinto βyour βhands. βThe βvideo, βthe βguided βnotes ββ’ ββ’ βand ββ’ βit's βat βthe βprivatescgalutr.com βwinning βwhere βyou βcan βgrab βyour βfree βmasterclass βtraining. βWinning βat βSchool βWithout βLosing βat βhome. ββ’ ββ’ βThe β45 βminute βvideo βwebinar βmasterclass βand βguided βnotes βare βthere βfor βyou βfor βfree@the βprivatescgider.com ββ’ ββ’ ββ’ βwinning βand βthen βone βlast βreminder βabout βParent βAcademy. βI βreally βbelieve βit βcould βbe βa βgame βchanger βfor βyou βand βyour βteachers. ββ’ ββ’ βFour βmodules βfor βyou, βtwo β45 βminute βPDs βfor βyour βteachers. ββ’ βSo βfar, βschools βin βNorth βCarolina, βOhio βand βTexas βand βCalifornia βhave βused βit. βAnd βthe βfeedback βis βreally, βreally βgreat. βAnd βso βcheck βthat βout. βThe βPrivateQualader.com ββ’ βParentAcademy βand βthen βone βlast βfavor. βIf βyou βcould βjust βplease βshare βthe βlink βto βthis βpodcast βwith βanother βleader βthat βyou βknow, βa βleader βin βyour βlife, βa βschool βleader. βAnd, βum, βwith βa βrising βleader βat βyour βschool. βThat's βhow βwe're βgoing βto βget βthe βword βout βand βget βthis βcontent βinto βtheir βhands βso βthat βthey βcan βlearn βall βof βthese, ββ’ ββ’ βum, ββ’ ββ’ βthese βtools βand βthese βstrategies βas βwell. βAnd βI've βbeen βyour βhost, βMark βMinkus. βI βjust βwant βto βsay βI βappreciate βyou βand βall βthe βhard βwork βyou're βdoing βfor βthe βlucky βkids βand βteachers βat βyour βschool. βThank βyou βso βmuch βfor βtaking βsome βof βyour βprecious βtime βto βjoin βme βhere βtoday. βAnd βI'll βsee βyou βnext βtime βright βhere βon βthe βPrivate βSchool βLeader βpodcast. βAnd βuntil βthen, βalways βremember βto βserve βfirst, βlead βsecond, βand βmake βa βdifference.
